AFTERDREAM

Privacy policy

Afterdream is designed as a private, on-device dream journal.

Information stored on your device

Dream entries, transcripts, tags, reflections, recorded audio, alarm settings, and app preferences are stored locally on your device. Afterdream does not operate an account system and does not receive this content.

Microphone and speech recognition

Microphone access is used only when you choose to record a dream. Speech-recognition access is used only when you request transcription. Afterdream requests on-device recognition when the device supports it. Apple may process speech according to the system’s settings and Apple’s privacy terms when on-device recognition is unavailable.

On-device analysis

Reflection and pattern features process your journal on supported devices. Your journal is not sent to Isaac Audet for analysis.

Purchases

Optional subscriptions are processed by Apple through StoreKit. Afterdream does not receive or store your full payment-card details. Purchase history and an anonymous app user identifier are sent to RevenueCat to validate purchases, restore access, prevent fraud, and provide aggregate purchase analytics. This information is used for app functionality and analytics, is not connected to an Afterdream account, and is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking. RevenueCat’s privacy policy explains its processing.

Tracking, advertising, and sale

Afterdream does not contain third-party advertising, does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and does not sell personal information.

Retention, export, and deletion

Journal information remains on your device until you delete entries, erase app data, or delete the app. Export tools let you create your own copy; exported files are controlled by you and any service you choose to share them with.
